ABS Issues.. Please help!!
'97 JDM DC2
After finding out that error code 1-8 on the abs was high pressure system I bought a new pump (second hand tested)
Ive just fitted the new pump and all was good, abs light went out.
started the car again and now same issue. code 1-8
The bit which may help is that if I bleed a bit of pressure from the pump itself the light goes out.
Also, if I leave it off for a day or longer and start the car the light will go out, but turn it off and on again and the light will come back on.
Any help or contact to someone who knows would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: ABS Issues.. Please help!!
I have, numerous times..
ive bled the system running the pump, bled it after the pump has made pressure..
still makes no difference.
Is there a special way to bleed this pump then? as I know the ALB2 pump is a pain.
when you relive the pressure from the pump and then start the engine the light goes out. but turn it off and on again it stays on.
another thing ive noticed, if I have the engine running after the abs has done its check, i open the bleed nipple on the pump and release the pressure but the pump doesn't kick in. I then have to turn the engine off and on again to get it to kick in.. is that normal?once ive started the engine and the pump has kicked in again the light will go out.
if I start the engine with the bleed nipple open the pump will run until I close the nipple and its built pressure. then the light will go out...
