yellow/prokit lowering question
i recently installed my koni yellows and eibach prokit. even though the 'stock' height setting according to koni is middle on rear, top on front, i went with top all around b/c it looks more even. i now have about a 3 finger gap all around, but i would like a little lower.
when i tried to use the lower front spring perch setting, the spring wasn't long enough to 'fill up' the shock. that is, when the shock was fully expanded, the spring didn't reach from the bottom perch to the top hat (or whatever the top of the rod is called). is this normal? is it impossible to use this lower setting with the prokit? theoretically i could do it b/c the weight of the car would keep the shock compressed down on the spring, but i'm worried if i lift a wheel or jack up the car that the spring will 'fall out' of the perch and be loose on the shock.
has anyone else come across this with a prokit or any other spring? are all lowering springs like this? how can they work if so?

haha.. yea man, this is normal with pretty much all lowering springs and adjustable springs("coilovers")... so yes, when you jack the car up, it will have free play.. just make sure before you drop it back on the ground that the spring is resting properly on the shock perch and you'll be fine.. and you are right about the weight of the car compressing the shock down andd all that great stuff
