My sister went to pick up my car last nite from the body shop while i was at work. The factory sideskirts and frontlip were being painted. Well i get home from work and look at my car and they put RED Acura emblems on it. I'm like wtf???? i don't want this riceburner **** my car its blue for christ sake. Anyways i call them up and ask them why they did that and they replied, "We thought you might like it". They didn't even have my permission. They got rid of the Silver factory emblems which i really liked on my car. What can i do?

I would go back and make them replace the emblem.

 

Exactly. There is nothing else you should do besides getting them to fix it. That's just unbelievable to think they could do that.

yeah if thats a genuine ITR Red "A" then keep those damn things and sell em! They arent the easiest things to get! I know someone who went to replace his ITR emblems cuz they got jacked and they had to make sure he actually owned the car! If its some cheap aftermarket ones, then go beat their asses!

I'm pissed off, if they wanted to give me this gay red emblems they could have changed the back one also, i have a red emblem on front and a factory silver one on the back it clashes and looks like ****. Do you think since the Integra isn't made any more that they simply just don't have any silver OEM badges?

 

If they are stock "A" red badges those are worth 65 dollars a piece. I used to work at Acura. Which dealership was it? What state? Yeah i would also check under the badge for a scratch or something. What was it in the B/S for?

 

I doubt there real, i never really payed attention to ITR emblems anytime i've seen them. Does anyone have pics of what they look like so i can see.

I fukin hate body shops - all they do is *** up your ride cuz they are idiots.
Take it back and make them fix it - yell if ya have too.
If they wont fix it turn them into the better buisness buero
Then burn the shop down!

 

they probably ordered you a new emblem. its very very possible a red emblem was sent to the bodyshop so they put it on. Then...they said to you...look at the cool thing we got for you that i thought you'd like.

gotta remember that a bodyshop calls the dealer to order the parts. he says...front emblem for an acura integra (98 whatever). parts counter guy says...ok we'll get it right out. All he does is look the computer under 98integra and get a part number and order. whether he looked under LS, GSR or ITR is anyones guess. then its ordered from Acura and sent to the dealer and then on to the bodyshop. its alot easier for them to just put on the one they got then to order another.
