if i buy just the comptech ice box, no foam filter and no intake, so i fit it onto my stock intake tubing. then i buy the K&N filter for the LS and put it on. would that work. what kind of gains would i get? anyone with this setup?

 

don't know why it wouldn't work.

I currently have a stock intake tube, with stock filter cut up and KN filter hooked on to that, it is short ram style right now, but I have some tubing going from the bottom of the stock air box to the fender, all I have to do is put the top on the air box and I have a CAI. no need to buy the ice box, just take measurements and buy some tube, DIY. cheap and effective.

 

does anyone know if it would it work??
