I'm looking to put a h22a4 engine into a 94 integra and was wondering if mounts for a regular b series engine would work on a h22a4 engine. are specific mounts for the engine required or can I go with a b18 engine mounts and fit the h22a4 into the integra?

 

Factory mounts do NOT work... you will need aftermarket conversion mounts for an H22 in a DC2 chassis. If you intend to use the "B" series transmission and not an "H" transmission, special H2B mounts would need to be used.

 

I am going to be using the b series transmission, what mounts would you recommend I get?

 

I wouldn't recommend that combination at all... but if you choose to continue on this path, select a reputable brand of H2B conversion mounts and check the reviews on it.

 

back when my integra was F2B (same as H2B), i used my factory B series mounts with just inserts and a QSD kit. I dont think they are around anymore, and companies now sell a whole kit with everything you need to put the motor in.

 

Evolution and Innovative both sell H2B mounts for Civic/Integra chassis. Innovative is noticeably lower in price.

 

which would you recommend for a street/daily set up?

 

I have been using Innovative mounts for well over 7yrs on my setup…no complaints
