windshield problem
i just got my car back from the bodyshop...and i noticed that some part of my windshield was foggy...i tried using glass cleaner...but its tough to get off...anyone else have this probleM?
was it clear coat over spray if you take a flat razorblade you will be able to scrape it off then use paint thinner to get the final crap. Then wash as directed on the windex bottle ( I would use black and white news paper no streaks) If not then check your heatercore
its little dust seems to be stuck on the outside of the windshield...and its kinda rough when i run my fingers over it...

Thats why I said use foamed glass cleaner. I work for safelite autoglass and thats what we use everyday to clean the glass. If it's distorted then it could have been scratch but was buffed which cause the distortion in the glass. Or it it could be some paint,primer,clearcoat,etc... from the shop.Try it and let me know what happens.

i think you're right...its gotta be primer or clearcoat, etc. and tried scratching it with my nail and a little came off. so i should use foam glass cleaner and a razor blade used in box cutters?

93GSRGIRL is right.. just spray on some water (or windex), take a razorblade and scrape it off (at about a 45 degree angle). Trust me, it won't scratch your glass at all.

thats when they're suppose to cover up the areas where they are not suppose to spray windows, moldings, grill, ect...

If your very careful and dowse the windshield with pait remover the take your blade and anlge it so it rests almost flat with the windshield you will be able to scrape it off thats how I.ve done it in the past workd like a charm if you get the thinner on your paint don't panic ive done that as well to remove tar just get a all purpose cleaner and remove the thinner. Window tinters use blades all the time to remove tint and if your careful and take your time you wont wreck your glass. Trust me it works
Sorry for the late reply I went out last night and I just got back to the board now
