You're going to have to get it replaced. It cost me $250, I think, for a new one installed.

 

try a windshield repair place. there are tons. just look in the yellow pages. most are even mobile and can come to your house to replace it. it only takes like an hour or so and should not cost more than 200$. your area may be more or less expensive though.

 

Check with your insurance company. If you have comprehensive coverage, some states don't allow the insurance to charge a deductible for windshields. (I don't know what the rules are in CA.)

oooo too bad im only doing liability or whatever its called. next year im doing full coverage, prolly with that gps system that tells me where my car is. i live in ct and our roads are shitty so we replace windshields alot. we did 3 last year alone and i think we have 3 more to do this year. it sux. but we pay about 150 for one windshield, or last year we had a camero and a transam done at the same time so we only paid about 100 each. they gave us deals anytime we braught in more than one car but that was the best deal i can remember.

 

wtf how do you go through so many damn windshields????? mine is 10 years old and only has a tiny rock chip in it!

man i typed that when i woke up. we have like 13 cars, our roads suck. 3 rangers, 3 blazer/jimmy's, 1 s10 pu, 2 tegs, an eclipse, galant, ta, camaro. 1 teg is parts tho.
