will CEL go off after problem is fixed?help! Quick answer!

i turned on the car and it idled awful and the check engine light came on. i realized i didnt put the MAS back on so i put it back on and it ran fine but CEL is still on. does it automatically go off or does it have to be reset?

Yea, 20secs won't reset your ECU.
If the problem is gone, the CEL will remain off.
