White teg problems
my teg is white and has not bin repainted and from the the bumpers look a different white than the side and the pannels my bud said it is because the bumpers are plastic and the rest is metal different material's loook different when painted is that it?? also he said white is the most noticable color for this problem..
factory paint will look the same everywhere regardless of whether its plastic or metal
most people have a good enough color eye to pick up diff. colored paint- your bumpers have prob been repainted by a bodyshop that didnt use factory paint

My Integra is an excellent example of this problem... the paint is originally the same color, but over time it will fade at a different rate. The paint on the metal parts usually fades faster (since the metal reaches higher temps than the plastic).
Is this what you are talking about?

i've seen fading due to high temps on black hondas a lot especially on the roofs. but i didn't know that it happened on white tegs too, my frost white teg's bumpers look the same as the rest of the car.
nice 4 door btw

same thing happen to my integra the front is kinda lighter then the body and its milano red..but when resanded the bumper and primered it grey then repainted it it came out perfect cant tell the difference
but yeah its been repainted before without primer they just paint it when it was plain ol black from the factory alot of integras are like that if they arent painted by the factory
oh yeah my roof and trunk and mirrors are faded to pink also

^ try primering it white first to see how the color comes out after painting white on white primer or grey if not just layer it till it matches but its hard to tell since ur color is white

That picture is old. Coit carpet cleaning was nice enough to change the look of my front end (although not in the manner I would have hoped for). They backed into my front end. I got the settlement check from them, and used it to pay off my car loan instead. I will be putting a new bumper, and fenders on my car soon, and the paint is 12 years old, missing in some spots. It is time to get it painted.
And yes, I will do all of the prep work myself.
