i'm bout to buy a gsr with 20%tint. now...will i get in trouble for this?

 

Well 32% is legal, but on my teg i got 15% and its pretty dark, but 20% isnt no where near as bad as mine, u gotta have a flashlight 2 see me at night, but u should be fine...

 

You can have 5% on the back if you want and you wont be in any trouble unless you start doing the side windows.

 

only on the back...this car has 20% all around except for the windshield

 

Wrong Devin, if u do the back black they will get u, think about it, if a cop it riding your tail, and he cant see u, or whoevers in your car what do u think he will do, but if your tint in the back is legal, and the sides arent, then they wont notice as much...

 

I have never heard of this happening, dont just assume your right. I know countless people who have done this, even with black spraypaint on junk cars. I suppose that since a cop cant see a semi driver from the back, or the majority of people who drive vans for that matter, hes gonna pull them over too. You dont make any sense, think about it.

man i know just about every cop around where i live, trucks, SUV'S, and Vans, dont have a tint limit, its cars, and if n e window on your car is below 32% its illegal, so if u have the back window that is legal, and a cop is behind u, will he see the sides from behind??? no!!!! so if u see a cop up ahead facing the road, what do u do??? roll down the windows, then they cant tell that u have illegal, since your windows r down and the back window is legal

 

It's also illegal if you don't have a right side mirror.
Yeah, some cars still only come with just the dirver side mirror.

 

Since I dont speak your language I'll just say that I have never seen anyone get a ticket for the back window being tinted. The sides yes, but the back no. There is a limit to the side windows, but anything else I have never seen enforced, ever. If the guy that posted this topic wants some usable info., ask your local PD I suppose.

 

Tinting laws vary from state to state. Stop arguing like idiots.

In California you can paint all your windows black (as long as you have 2 outside mirrors) except the front side passenger and drivers windows.

There now is tint legal for the front side windows, but all it does is block UV rays and is clear....

 

damn i didnt know my 5" tint on the top of the windshield is illegal. oh well.

 

I have 5% in Fl... been pulled over to many times to list, and NOT ONCE did I ever have a cop say ANYTHING about my tint. I also use common illegal tint courtesy and drop the windows when pulled over so the cop can see me... That usually makes them ignore the tint.... I love it BTW... especially during the summer...

 

Oh yea, sorry. There is a limit to the size brow(tinted or blacked out) allowed.. but I forget the size...

Im sure its not too much farther than how low the visors go...

 

It all depends on what state you live in. Here in VA, they are very strict about petty crap like window tint. We are only allowed 50% on the front windows, and 35% on the rear windows. (excluding SUV's and minivans that come with dark tint from the factory)
