Default when does vtec kick in

i was having a discussion with someone and told me that vtec on a gs-r kicks on at 5500 or 5600 i said it was like 6000 or 6100 can somebody help me and let me know thanks

do a search....but its 4400 on a stock gsr, the secondaries in the intake mani open up at 6 which is probably what you are confusing for VTEC

the secondaries don't open up at 6000rpms. its either 5750, 5800, or 5850....do a search. i'd know more about it but I got rid of my stock gsr IM for a single runner

yeah by 6 i meant around 6. I believe it is 5800 or 5900. But the VTEC number is right, its def 4400.

I dont know about you guys, but my VTEC crosses over. It doesn't "Kick In."

vtec "kicks in" at 4400 rpms
secondary butterflies open around 5800

mine looks like this.....i bought my car like this.....is it suppose to do it by its self??

Press and hold both buttons for 3 seconds while turning on the car. After that, you won't need to hold down the green button, but rather push it for m4d vt3K p0wah!

Ok i did this but then my vtec stopped working after a few times - i called 1800-DIY-VTEC they said to press the BLUE button - pssh go figure.
