This my sound silly but please answer if you can. I was reading another post in the drag racing section about ls/vtec conversions. Then I saw a post about someone with a 95 gsr having a ls/vtec setup. My question is why would you get a ls bottom end if you all ready had a 1.8liter block and vtec head. Whats the difference between the two.

 

The B18B has a tad more torque than the B18C1. It displaces just a wee bit more.

 

okay, but if it is such a small difference why wouldn't a person just bore out the b18c.
