Default What's the difference?

Ok, so I have been looking and can't really find anything to answer my question. I have a 4 door Acura Integra GSL (as per the VIN) and I wanted to know the difference in the other model 4 doors (GS, RS, LS). Now I am assuming the GSL is a GS limited edition, is that right? My cousin has an RS 2 door (hatchback/3door) and he doesn't have a moon roof, nor cruise control, both of which I have. Anyways, any info will be appreciated, TIA.

i dont really know what you mean. 2/4 door doesnt matter between rs/ls/gs/gsr. each trim still has the same goin on.

your friends car doesnt have a moon roof, cruise, or ABS because he has an RS, and that doesnt have any of those things. heres a breakdown of the trims

Ok, I think you misunderstood my question. As far as integras go in general (more so 90-93 since I have a '91) what's the difference between RS, GS, and ls from an acura integra GSL. Yes GSL...gee sss l...(Maybe GS-Limited??)

I ran my VIN and it came up as a GSL...it's not an RS/GS/LS, but it is a GSL...I know differences between RS/GS/LS/GSR but my trim on my integra is none of those...I have a GSL and it is a 4 door...just wondering what's so different about my car from the other more popular trims.

My cousin's car is an RS which is why he doesn't have the options I mentioned that come standard on other trims. I just threw that out there for reference of what I am talking about.

RS = power windows. no sunroof and has different trim and interior. no abs.

LS = has everything the RS doesnt.

GS/L(limted edition LS basically) = LS with GSR options [wing, leather interior, tweaders etc]

GSR = highest model. comes power everything.

type R =
hope that helped

this is ref. towards the 94+ integra btw.

Thanks for the info, but I need something referring to 90-93 Integras...any help there??

Do you have a more thourough list of the GSL options? I do believe that my car once had leather seats, as the seats were removed and replaced with ugly ripped blue ones (my interior is black/light grey). As for the wing, I guess it was removed as well, since I don't have one and there aren't any holes...I'm gonna look under the trunk right now though. Could have been plugged as the car was repainted (I think). I have the tweeters though, but look aftermarket, install and everything...

Thanks again though.

The wing part is probably only for the 3 door models. I have never heard of a GSL. I'm gonna guess its like the LS SE's of the gen3 models though, which is basically an LS with the little extras like was already said, perhaps maybe like it could have the 6 spoke wheels like came on the GS-R for DA's. Do you have painted side moldings or are they black? Do you have leather interior? Those could be things that it might have over a regular LS but still not be a GS-R due to the engine choice(besides the door difference).

Well like I said earlier, the seats were removed and replaced with blue seats. I know they aren't stock seats 'cuz the sticker on the door jam says "Interior color: black". I believe my side moldings are black, not sure though.

But as I have said, I am looking for info on gen 2 integras...90-93 not 94+ g3...

if you check the article i linked you, and go back 1 page, it has the G2 breakdown.

and as far as GS-L ive never heard of it. the SE, special edition was just another name for the GS for 95-96.

Still doesn't explain the differences, nor even say what the GSL options are...

Like stated above it is a gs with factory leather.

Not to sound like a dick but isnt it obvious what the gsl options are? Just take a look in the car.

As for the differences, the ls/gs have more options than the "base" model RS. Sunroof. cruise. etc.

Not to be a dick back, but did you read my posts above? My seats were removed and replaced with blue ones...how would I tell that my seats are leather? I knew/know more or less what the differences are between rs/gs/ls, but I never heard of a GSL so it threw me off. Thanks though. Hopefully you're right so I can stop worrying about it.

Yea, starting to think so. Which is prolly why the seats were replaced. So is that the only difference? So what does the LS have or not have that the GS has (not gsl)...

Well I used to have a LS 2door. Now I have a GS 4 door. The only difference I know is in the sunroof. My ls slid all the way back. And my 4door only tilts up.

LS don't have ABS in US and GS's do...mine is just a GS with leather. THanks!

Oh, and that's weird that your 4 door only tilts up...maybe it's jammed...My 4 door GS slides all the way back and it's a moon roof. Do you have a sun or moon roof? What year is your db?

No, the difference is a moon roof is a glass (typically a little tinted) and a sun roof is like a metal window. You can't see through a sun roof, it just opens...but a moon roof you can leave it closed and open the cover to see the sky.

This is a sun roof... Notice no glass here?

And this is the moon roof... Notice the glass here?

And about the tilting up part...sound like an aftermarket sunroof...my friend had a dx hatch (no sunroof standard) and he bought an aftermarket one and installed and it only tilted up, does not open though.

Same thing with my buddies, but it only tilted up. He had the same thing like a moon roof, except it just didn't slide all the way open. It would be easier if you had a picture lol...is your glass thin?
