what sensor it this?

i am trying to find out what the sensor is about the oil filter, mine broke during rebuild i wondering if i need it or not, i have a chipped ecu and its a 94ls with gsr swap

do you have a pic? do you mean above your oil filter? it must be your knock sensor or oil pressure sensor if its either you need to replace..

its not the oil pressure one so must be knock but i thought in chipped ecu's this is cut out?

most chipped ecu's do remove the knock sensor. so it shouldnt be a problem check with who ever tuned or chipped youre car and you can install it or not
