any idea what this little box with one wire is?

It's a ground for something. If its in the rear I'm guessing its the ground for your power antenna? Follow the wire and see where it goes or unplug the wire and see what doesn't work.

 

great idea, but my antenna is broken already so I can't really test your theory.

Even with your antenna broken you can still test to see if thats the wire, pull the plug from the antenna and check the resistance between the plug on the antenna and the plug in the picture. If the ground isnt for the antenna then unplug it and see what doesn't work.

 

removed the antenna and shaved the hole so now I will never know.

 

that wire looks green and black.. i forgot what thats for.. but i know theres a color chart for all the wiring in tegs floating around somewhere.. if you find that youll have your answer... and please do bring it... im curious to know what its for too... i dont recall ever seeing that before on my car

 

its the antenna ground, im 100% sure, it has that isolation thing on top so it doesnt disrupt reception when the power from the ground flucuates
