Are you using a stock intake on a DSP Integra? Or a Comptech Icebox utilizing the stock arm?

I'm switching from the AEM intake to the Comptech Ice Box. I got a stock arm for free that I'm going to paint in heat resistant paint then wrap with a thermal intake wrap.

Yeah, that's me. I still don't have the customized manifold installed yet. It's still at the shop having other work done on it.

 

i was wondering what the hell that thing was too when i swapped out my intake. i thought it was used to catch moisture or somethin like that. i would have never thought it was for sound reduction.

 

That looks like an ITR intake arm, and #15 probably does the same thing as #14 on the GS-R intake arm. I removed the #14 piece and plugged the hole w/ a Mobil1 quart oil cap (perfect fit). I stuck the cap in the hole w/ the top of the cap facing inward and made it flush with the tube's inner surface. Then I just tightened the clamp around it.

 

I dont think I have even #14!!

GSR's don't have that resonator tube on the intake
