so i finally get my car to turn over and now right after it starts up the rpms just take off like its at wot i checked the tb and the butterfly is barely open...ANYONE PLEASE

 

Try cleaning your IACV.

 

its not like a low idle or anything tho its like i start the car with my foot on the pedal to the floor and it just keeps climbing luckily i shut it off before it got to high

 

Check for vacuum leaks.

 

well if your Tb is even a little bit open (you said barely open), at IDLE it doesnt take much throttle to make the car rev really really high. Try holding the throttle in a car even 5%, and it will rev to the sky if it's got no load on it.

 

ya that makes sense specially with a 9lb flywheel how open is it suppose to be if at all

 

Stick your hand over the TB and see if it still revs.

not open at all. You have an IACV which bypasses air thru a tiny little hole for idle operation.

Adjust Le throttle cable. Be careful, its french.

PSHH...studying is for punks. I didn't study for my ACTs and my calculator died halfway thru the math section...and i still got a 29. I woulda gotten a freaking 31 if that stupid calculator didn't die. Maybe i'll sue energizer.

Is your tps sensor off? Not sure if that would cause the same effect?
