What is this in the engine bay?! Please help!
So I bought an Acura Integra 1997 two door LS, and it came already with a short-ram air intake. I'm considering maybe changing it back to stock or to ice box or something or another, but something's always had me a little annoyed.

As you see in that picture, there's something to the left of the air box/filter area... My car does not have this! And if that's something important or necessary... I would really like to know sooner than later. All I have there is a hole and a void until the filter.
Thank you guys very much.

Uh, LOL!
That's the ABS motor for your brakes. Those are brake lines.

So... My car doesn't seem to have that... It's just an empty void with a hole there... Is that a problem? Or do some Acura Integras come without ABS...?

No. The only 3rd gen Integra's that didn't have ABS were the RS models. The RS's also lacked other amenities such as power door locks and a sunroof.

If you look at that picture, that resembles what my car looks like... See where the filter is at, how there's nothing at the left? Like that... So does that car pictured just not have ABS either? Someone removed it from that car as well? Or is it stock without ABS?
I just want to find out if I should be looking into replacing what should've been there or if stock it's always just had nothing there on my model car...
Sorry for all the questions, I just want to resolve what the deal is with this.

Actually, that explains it all. It must be an RS, not an LS. Can't believe not even the previous owner knew that it wasn't an LS. Mine has no power door locks or moonroof/sunroof either... So that must be it.
Thanks a lot for clearing that up, as stupid as it was...

Eh, i'd beg to differ on that one. Yes, you can modulate the brakes but not in any REAL dangerous situation. With more cars out on the road than ever it's important to have ABS so you don't slam into folks.
