Default what to do when changing pistons

ok, i don't know a whole lot about changing compression and piston stuff... but if i were to put b16 pistons, gsr pistons, or itr pistons in my ls motor what all do i have to do? and what kinda difference i'm i going to see? i did a search already, and couldn't find the info i was looking for

have you ever built a motor b4??

this like a 7-9 on the 1-10 scale soooo

get a helms manual ....your gonna need like 500$ in just tools to do this right


anyone else with motor building exp wanna chime in ??

you can use any b-series piston setup..except for b20 since they oversized. you will need to hone the block and have the rest done and installed by a professional or a reputable shop. Don't do it yourself unless you've done it before many many times or experienced builder...

no i've never ripped apart a blockbefore...i thought that would have been obvious but the question....

yes i'm getting a professional to do it.... i'm just wondering what all i'm gonna need, or do as well....

Each one of thos pistons have differnt compressions ratio, just choose the ones you want for the set up your going for. Beside the pistons you get your also going to have to get some new piston rings. Also if your rod bearings ar ok you can reuse them if they are not then You'll need new bearings as well.

piston rings, bearings, and wrist pins possibly. of course new gaskets and seals too. i'd get a hone on the block
