anyways...i have been studying up on installing turbos and since i have never done that install before, i would like to learn by doing. but im not sure if i should push out a turbo install to work on the engine first. Should i go ahead and buy/install a turbo or teardown and rebuild the head/block (new pistons, rods, sleeves, valve train, cams, intake mani). My goal is to eventually get to 20+lbs of boost (too many v8s around i live 2mins from corvette plant and museum) but i want to learn everything i can. if i am to go the turbo route, where can i pickup a nice complete kit (im scared of ebay kits)? any advice/opinions would be great

OKAY, I have never owned a turbo car, But I think I have enough knowledge to help you out. +20lbs Boost is asking for a rebuild. Full-Race makes kits, But prepared to spend big dollars but I hear they are worth it. Peak-boost is another. I have heard good and bad from ebay turbo kits. More bad than good, but some guys are just lucky. Go to the forced induction Forum here. You will learn a lot there.
