i posted this over on honda-acura.net and wanna post it here too, to get different replys from other people...so here goes:

sup guys.......i may not have told you....but all in the past 2 months, i have sold my LS....and bought a eclipse GST.....and then turned around and sold the GST because i hated the tan interior......but loved the turbo to death......Im not sure if i want another mitsubishi, even though it was sooooo nice with that turbo....I know that all you guys are honda fans, and are highly against eclipses....but I loved it.....10x's more then my LS.. and I am going to purchase a new car... And i cant decide... something decently reliable, for commuting back and forth to school... I have around 9 grand to spend....what would you guys get??

I cant decide between another GST with black leather inside , or a GSR....I drove my buddies GSR and i hate not having a turbo, and i really dont wanna go the route of turboing the GSR...so what would you guys do? would you get something else?

if you had 9 grand cash to spend, what would you go buy??

 

if you want a eclipse get a gs-x all wheel drive turbo, they are alittle faster then the gs-t

 

depends what you want to do.... if you want to spend only the 9, then go pick urself up a used GSR and go back to the teg that you kno u miss... hehe...

OR

use the 9k towards a down payment on a more higher priced vehicle new or used...

 

i got my old GST for 8 grand, it was a 1997 from the original owner, its not a matter of what i wanna do, i can really do what i want, i have the cash , its just i dont know what I want, I just wanna know your opinions..........

 

haha... well then... honestly... i have a bit of a tainted opinion cause i werk at Nissan.. but i'd probably use 7500-8000 towards a downpayment on a new or used Z and finance the rest... use the left over cash towards some first mods.

OR.....

buy a GSR for around 8k and spend the rest on mods.

that is my revised answer to what i would do in such a situation.

 

The GSR is going to be more reliable. You can also save up cash and turbo it down the road

I would go with the GSR

 

spend that 9k on a 86 corolla and drop in a supercharged tacoma motor....
