You would probably be better off asking this question in one of the Civic forums. Most of the people using this site are in the USA and we never got Integras with D-series engines here.
I think its a waste of time, the engine is very under powered and is not a common or ideal swap, Sell the D16 and buy a B20 if you are on a budget or a B18 or even a B16 swap ect., any of these will be a much more easier swap than that D16 you have, make it easier and simpler on your self and take my advise, there is lots of engine warehouses that can ship you a full complete swap. Stay OBD2A because the Integra you have is obd2 and everything should be plug and play. even if its OBD1 its easy to convert these swap and there is much info on the net, What you are trying to do is not very common and even I couldn't find any useful info searching the net about a D16 in a 98 integra, it will super underpowered especially in a 4 door integra, buy a cheap B20 swap or B18A1 LS swap and call it a day, you will have lots more power and will be easier to install.
Post pictures of the distributor plug and ecu plugs. If I'm thinking correctly, they're totally different than any standard distributor/ECU plugs. I think it's a P76 ECU and it's a simplified control system.
thanks man i appreciate it , i honestly wasnt going for a power upgrade ! i blew the current motor Zc single cam and just need to move .. ive already mated the l3 gearbox to it and its sitting in the car.. it starts sounds healthy and all but i cant get it to rev properly.. i figured it needs the correct ecu and distributor ?

what i did was change the intake from off of the zc and put it on the d16a1 hoping those connectors wud work considering i havent changed the ecu and distributor.. the engine starts one click but it just revs erratic and not smooth
It sounds like you probably have a vacuum leak around the intake manifold. Spray some brake parts cleaner or carburetor cleaner around where the intake manifold bolts up and see if it changes the idle at all. If it does, you have a vacuum leak
sorry i got home late last night and didnt bother getting the pics taken..sumone was saying that the firing order is different from the zc thats why its revving so wildly ..i just want to know if i get the ecu, wire loom and distributor if i will be ok ?
If the firing order was wrong it would be sounding like its backfiring, you revving issues is elsewhere. Did you bleed the system of air in the coolant? Is your tps adjusted to factory specs? Also again, any vacuum leaks?
a mechanic told me that the firing order of the D16A1 is different hence the ECU & DISTRIBUTOR will have to be changed for it to run right ..can anyone confirm this..
so just an update! ive officially completed the D16A1 transplant into my 1998 honda integra (RHD JDM)yes im in jamaica guys..and im gonna be posting a complete write up with pics of the build which a number of you guys doubt would work for whatever reasons im always cheering for the under dogs and like a challenge ..so this 1988-89 motor (OBD0) is sitting in a 1998 chasis (OBD2A) and all i did was use the existing wire harness and connectors and sensors no cutting or re-wiring to obd0 or that crap..in essence this motor the D16A1 is operating like just like the ZC SOHC which was replaced by this motor ..it actually has way more get up and go than the zc had ...wow im still in disbelief the thing started right up no issues so far whatsoever ..so guys ill be posting pics and vids for all who still dont believe this could have been done ..yes a 1989 motor running off of a complete obd2a ecu, harness and distributor ..
