What could be causing this? (ACT Clutch Problem)
I've had a new ACT full face clutch for about 2 months now and it was working fine until about last week. Just in a couple of days the clutch's grabbing power has completely disappeared. The pressure on the clutch pedal is fine but it grabs worse than my stock clutch did. And I noticed this during daily driving, that's what has me stumped. I don't powershift or ever get on the clutch, no need to due to boost. I was running an unsprung 6 puck before going to full face (before boost). I know the full face can hold a considerable amount of power, and this seems way to soon for it to go out. Car has been used for driving to school and work. I could really use some advice here. Any comments or insight on this would help.
Specifics:
97 Boosted Integra LS – stock Greddy boost
On crappy steelies
Inspection of parts 2 Months Ago: (When the full face was put in)
Used Pressure Plate (In good condition)
Used Disc (Was then resurfaced)
Used Prolite Flywheel (In good condition)
GSR Tranny (Good condition)
...I know

Possible items to check:
1) Oil leak from rear main perhaps... remove the dust shield between the engine and tranny and check for oil.
2) Misadjusted clutch pedal... no freeplay at the top of the travel. Need to adjust so you have a bit of freeplay. Clutch could have glazed over by this time so you may have to resurface everything and replace the clutch disc.
3) Worn out pressure plate, springs have lost their "spring". How worn was the previous 6 puck clutch?

The 6 puck wasn't installed properly. I don't think it was balanced right because when we took it out just one side of the clutch was worn.
