what kinda engine is that

im at sohofast.com looking at swaps, why is it not good for a 90-93 itr swap with the hydro tranny? would you just take the old cable out and throw the new one in or are the sizes and stuff alot diff that causea probs

 

b17a is the GSR motor from the G2 integras.

90-93 integras used cable transmissions, 94-01 used hydro transmissions

i think place racing or someone makes some kind of converter deal thing that allows you to use the hydro tranny in the G2 integras.....but i dont know the details of it, i think http://www.jdmhondaparts.com sells it

it would be a pain in the *** to convert cable 2 hydro

 

B17 10.0:1 compression 160hp@7600/117lb-tq@7000 ys1 tranny comes in the 92-93 gsr frist vtec motor to the states

 

off topic, but wasn't the '91 nsx first to come with vtec. In 92, didn't the Si and Ex come with vtec also.

actually the comp. on the motor is 9.7.1
not trying to be technical though

where can i be finding a 180 hp 93 cable engine??

the 93+ b18c is probably has a hydro tranny, but the motor does have 180 hp. 10 hp over the usdm b18

 

you can ask any 92-93 gsr owners and they`ll tell you that im right.
