Its a tube, air pressure is pushed from the valve cover to the intake, it releases pressure from inside the motor, helps keep crank case pressure & heat down.

just needed a quick answer cause mines melted pretty much in half.
and i didnt know what to call it.

Not accurate. It's the intake breather for the PCV system. The system's outlet is in the middle of the valve cover where the PCV valve regulates the flow as it's drawn by vacuum into the intake manifold.
