Default Weird Starting Problem

Hello,

I have a 97 Integra with 147k miles.

The car has a problem starting when engine is warm (i.e., trying to start within 1-3 hours from last shut-off). I have to press the accelerator slightly and crank for it to start. Once started, the car idles rough at first and I usually have to blip the throttle (slightly) to keep it from stalling. However, after 10 to 20 seconds of feathering the throttle, it all came back to normal.

The car drives fine otherwise, no performance loss noticed. When the car is cold (either stays off over 6 hours, or left over night, or with cold weather at Midwest), it has no problem starting.

I have since changed:
- Main Relay
- O2 sensor
- IACV

And the ignition timing is checked as well.

I am wondering if anyone has the same symptom and what is the cause of the problem? Could it be the distributor or alternator? I wonder if the alternator is at the end of its life.. I noticed some whines when the wheather is cold, could it be coming from a bad alternator?

Thanks for any advice!

Derek
