Weird Electrical Problem
I have a 92 LS, and I was driving around last night and I hit the window up when the window was all the way up and it killed almost all the power in my car. My radio reset, my radar detector reset, headlights dimmed to a candle, pretty much everything electrical died in my car for the duration I had the switch pressed up (about .5 seconds). I tried it twice more to see if it was indeed the window switch causing the shorts and the same thing happened. I figured there was a short somewhere in my door panel.
BUT!!!
After that, I turned on my blinker, and it about killed my car. When I was coming to the turn I hit the brake, and again, everything electrical went dead. I pulled over and tightened my battery terminal and tightened the screws that held the cables as well. I also checked my grounds, everything looked fine.
Weird thing is, It did it once more when I turned on my blinker to get back onto the road, and then it hasn't done it since. I started her up this morning and hit all four window switches up, had my system cranked pretty high, had my radar detector plugged in, and no electrical symptoms...
I'm going to replace my battery today (I need a new one anyways). I'll prob get my alternator checked, and I'll look over the wiring harness from the alternator to my battery. Is there anything else I should check? Anyone else have this problem? I'm kinda stumped. It's the first time it's done this so I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks for the help!

Hidden corrosion in battery cables (under the plastic), poor mechanical connection at the posts, corrosion at the ground points and/or missing ground straps - few more things to check. Has all the earmarks of something loose, doesn't it?
Good luck
Good luck
Ditto the above^^^.
Check/redo all the main grounds, [batt. post, batt. to chassis and chassis to engine] and powers, [batt. post, batt. to engine bay fuse box, main fuses in engine bay fuse box.
My money is on the batt. to chassis ground, [under batt. box].94
