Weird break problem
I went to drive a friends car becaus its brakes were acting weird...he just bought it (had a blown motor). While driving a noticed that every now and then the brakes would engage and disengage quickly right before comming to a complete stop; almost like abs, but not...it only pulses once. I checked the brake fluid and abs fluid; everything is full.
I took a look under the car and didn't see any visible leaks on any of the break lines. I really don't know what the problem could be, I've never had this happen.
Any thoughts would be appreciated thanks...

mmm thats wierd.
well this might seem wierd but if its not your brakes it could me a TPS or MAP seneor going bad. if it act normal but then feel like a brak feel or a very high power loss for like a slip second. its just that the signal goes away real quick and the computer thinks its at idel or something and leans it out and retards the timing so it might be that or like an brake problem. if you have a tool to look at wave forms you can hook it up to the TPS or MAP to see if it acts normal. buti could be wrong. ive seen it before of that sensor problem

I will try and see if that helps.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by slomob18b »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">If there are no leaks or air in the system, the rotors/pads may need replacing.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Check your hubs. Jack that **** up by the lower control arm and grab the tire on top and bottom and see if there's play when you "wiggle" it from top to bottom. If you feel play in that bitch, you've got to replace it and then get an alignment. It's kind of rare, but that's happened to me here at the shop where I work.

, could be wheel bearings.

Apparently the car had this problem before my buddy bought it.......The two front wheel bearings were replaced once my friend got it, so it can't be that.
