well i purchased a jdm front bumper support to see what the weight difference would be on my 90 teg with a 90 front support.

stock 19.87 lbs

jdm 4.84 lbs

now really thats not a big weight drop, but honestly with no one in the car i did feel a difference, not a big difference, but yes a difference. so just maybe someone would like to know...

 

ya the US has that 5mph bumper standard which japan doesnt..ive seen the us change the bumper dramtically to meet this standard which has killed the look of some cars here ie subaru legacy

Id rather have 15 extra pounds than having my front end going by bumping someone at 5mph.

ya but with no insurance if i hit someone from behind, even a 5 mph which might even cause less damage to there car which could be a shot at just driving away with no report, anyways if i hit someone im in deaper **** then if my bumpers pushed in so the key is dont run into people,,,,,

 

maybe you should just get insurance.

 

ok, i have a weird story.

my car was remote started into a wall by Big O tire (long story) so i had to replace the front bumper support. well the one that i bought from Honda was just a couple of really skinny bars going across, rather than a huge beam as it was before. also there was a humungous weight difference between the two; the newer one was way lighter.
