Water pump
So what is the tricky part about this deal?
Are there timing/alignment issues? Are they easy to deal with or will having them a little off really fock it up?
my coolant is completely gone even after i topped it off again a week ago. I wonder if this is attributed to a failing water pump, bad radiator, or a failing head gasket.
any ideas?

check your oil, if its milky, then the inside of the headgasket went and dont drive it
. To see if its the outside of the headgasket, water pump or radiator, the easiest way is to sit it somewhere where you can leave it for a bit and look under teh car. The water pump is on the driver side, rad front, and headgasket is usually on the back of the engine. Also, if u can get under the car check it out. What yr car u got an how many miles, just wondering?

88,000 miles going strong. The mechanic told me i need to get my radiator replaced. Will cost $200. Does this sound reasonable. Im assuming they use some aftermarket generic brand but it works.
He told me to change my water pump when i see water dripping when the car is running idle in my drive way. I guess ill have to check periodically. bummer.

along w/ having the h20 pump replaced and the timing belt, do crank and cam seals at the same time, it will save a lot in labor when everything is already out of the way because the parts are fairly cheap...

seems like a fair price...matters where you bring it, an acura dealer will replace it with OEM, a shop may or may not....my friend spent $300 on this really nice radiator....looks like a lot better build quality than the stock OEM

Don't you have to remove the timing belt to get to the water pump?
Do it yourself, get a helms, not just for this service, but for the future. All of the things listed are very easy, exceot timing belt.
