Default Walbro fp -> Problem with sputtering??

With the stock fuel pump the car runs perfectly fine. When I installed the Walbro it was fine for a while then it just started sputtering under throttle and the fuel pressure drops off. Switched back to stock fp and runs perfect again. Any ideas? I have all the stuff to go turbo and am wondering if my walbro fp just went bad. Any info on similar situations is appreciated. Searched but all I found was fp's for sale...PJ
