Default Vtec ?

Are you supposed to be able to hear the VTEC kick in if your using a JRSC...i cant hear it kick in, but in my friends 00 GSR his kicks in at 6k and its loud as **** w/ a short ram intake on it...is that normal?

what is vtech??

if you mean VTEC . you should search using proper spelling and you may find what you are looking for. -- by the wy search is in the upper right corner of the page

8posts and still no answer. Why cant someone help him.
I dont have a gsr; but im preety sure what your hearing is the secondaries in the intake manifold; VTEC kicks in around 5200-5500. Good luck.

on my gsr, vtec engages at 4400-4500 and the secondary intake runners open up at ~6k. That's probably what you're hearing.

My Vtech runs a 9k mhz, but anyways, I have owned two vtec integra's and 3 vtec civic's and everyone of them I can hear a cross over, my g2 gsr crossover is mean as hell, but I don't know there is some speculation that its not actually vtec crossover your hearing.

Okay Ill answer the question.

Yes. Its normal. You're fine. You wont hear the crossover half as much with a JRSC on the car. The secondaries are whats loud on a stock GSR, and you dont have the stock manifold.
