vtec not working right. help!

Default vtec not working right. help!

i have a 94 db8. when i hit vtec i can hear it but cant feel a difference at all in acceleration or anything (isnt making it pull harder at all). what could be causing it?

Check the VTEC fluid?

If you hear it engaging its working... Check your timing. How many miles on the engine? No CEL'S?

VTEC isn't Nitrous or turbo. For me, it just changes the intake/exhaust sound...

Yeah man, vtec isn't gonna pull you back into your seat or anything. If you can hear it im sure its working.

the car has 93,xxx miles. and i know it wont pull really hard like a turbo or anything. i just figured itd would pull a little bit harder when in vtec, i guess im wrong though. lol

youre not really supposed to feel the transition. your peak torque is up near 7000 so thats where the most pull will be felt. your power should be nice and linear.
