Default Vtec header

newbie here and I'm interested in obtaining a Vtec Header for my Acura 1995 Integra. A new friend and co-worker gave me a list of headers and referred me to this board. We also talked at length about the diffrent upgrades and parts available for the Honda/Acura model cars and I was amazed to say the least and I think I'd like to start fixing my car up and I'd like to start with the engine. I ask for your patience and understanding as I really don't know much about cars except the obvious. Where would I purchase such an item? Do I need to have my car inspected first for suitability? This is my third Honda car, will installing such an option lessen the lifespan of the car? Isi it worth it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

welcome to honda-tech Any questions you may have, have probably been answered before, so use the search feature in the upper right corner of the screen. If you're looking to purchase something, check out the h-t sponsors on the main page.

First, welcome to H-T

What are the goals for your car?
....are you going to be just doing bolt-ons(Intake, Header, Exhaust). Or are you into some serious modding?

This decision should impact what header you choose. There are a ton of different headers and a ton of different price ranges. Its all in what your looking for.

Also, when building an all motor setup remember its getting each part to work with the other, maximizing the potential of each mod. Read the articles on team-integra and you'll have a bunch of information that you can use. You'll learn quite a bit

Welcome to H-t ... like said b4 the search button is your best freind here... use it when u have a question, and if u cant find it then post.. but be sure to search recent and archives... since your new to the scene i would suggest maybe a line of products from Comptech... its kinda costly... you can go here to check it out http://www.comptechusa.com they make products only for acura/honda's. you can also do a search here and read testimonials on there products.. anyways good luck with your project.. and do a lot of reading
