Default vtec head

Just a real quick question. I'm looking at putting a vtec head on my LS stock engine. If anyone knows of any precautions I should be taking, please tell me. Also, if there are any recommendations as to where I would best acquire such a piece, feel free to clue me in. I had looked in a few local shops, but would honestly prefer an on-line/mail order distributor. Thanks,

Engine block is in fine condition. Bought it off of a a senior citizen who was only previous owner. Has 70k on it now, most of which I have put on myself driving from New Mexico to Cali and back. Runs great, just wanting to make it go faster and learn a little about cars as I go. First import I've owned.

no more problems than whats normally involved with doing the swap.
I've never done the swap personally but a few people on this board have.
I'll see if I can find some of the webpages and e-mails i've saved about the process. Also http://www.inlinefour.com sells the necessary parts to do the conversion but you can also fabricate them yourself.

no, all it comes with it the head itself, rocker arms and all the braces to hold down the cams. a stock VTEC head with all that you mentioned will go for around $900-$1000.

yeah, I know, I have looked for them before. I just thought maybe it was taking to much space up in your garage so you just wanted to get rid of it. So what all does the head need to opperate?

I have a b16a head That has already had the machine work done for the ls vtec swap(moved dowls and pluged vtec oil hole)with integra type r intake valves, 3angle valve job , ari dual valve springs(int/exhaust) and new valve seals with 97 gsr cams, Typr r intake manifold, Blue str fuel rail(1 fpr regulator bolt is stripped and will need to be re tapped), str cam seal.
Make me a reasonable offer I also have a rc engineering 64mm overbored t-body too. I might also have a set of titanium retainers but the head has itr retainers in it now. I'll see if I can find them.
I dont have a distributor though

Am interested. Wondering what sort of condition head is in overall. How many miles, etc.. I'm still trying to figure out my money situation, but if setup comes with all that you mentioned minus distributor, depending on condition I would probably be able to offer somewhere in the neighborhood of $800. I'm also still mulling over the idea of throwing a whole new engine, but still on the drawing board.
