Default VTEC CONTROLLERS INFO

what exactly is the benefit of having a vtec controller.............having the vtec kick in before someone elses vtec? is it better than I-VTEC? please educate a fool!

ok but as far as adjusting when you want your vtec to kick in.....can you set a b20vtec motor to be pretty much the same as a k20?

every engine is going to be different. each will want vtec at a different point based on the cams. a b20vtec can never be pretty much like a k20 simply because k20's have i-vtec and there's no way to retrofit this system onto a b series.

vtec controller is whack. its to use when u r tuning your motor..
cams, IM) but others use crome or hondata to maximize hp out of their engines rather than vafc

You set vtec where the low cam and high cam torque curves intersect, not based on a completely different engine.

Only if the powerband benefits from it. For stock cams, moving vtec around is only going to cost power.

god it seems that now a days every one is full of misinformation. good luck to us all. vtec controller is simply used to tune your engine when substantial amounts of mods are acquired, that might include changing your vtec crossover point, whether it'd be raising or lowering the vtec point
