Default VSS troubles.

cleaned my engine bay a bit(just with a magic eraser) i moved the VSS wires out of the way(i have a plug spliced in). point is at first my spedo worked along with VTEC the spedo needle would randomly cut out then go back to normal, however the trip odometer+main one didn't work. now im getting code 20(ELD) I've had that code before when i had lose wiring. my question, out of the 3 wires going to the VSS is one for the odometer ?. I will re splice the plug in tomorrow but any info i can get today would be great.

Black is ground, black/yellow is power, and blue/white is vehicle speed to the cluster, ecu, and cruise control.

Speedo/trip/odometer are all one lead, [blue/white as mentioned above].

If only the speedo works, you need a new cluster, splitting between the 3 is done inside the speedo gauge. 94

Ok thanks. VTEC works and so does the speedo it's self just not the odometers and ELD still comes up I've fought with ELD before and all it was, was the VTEC wire had come undone(it's spliced foe some reason). so will undo and re splice in that plug no electrical tape this time as it goo'd up the wires pretty badly.

FCM seems odd that my cluster would just give out but at the same time it makes sense, I can live without a speedo and trip as the cluster is just from a random integra(for now at least). thanks

I would recommend you make an effort to solder and heat-shrink as opposed to splicing wires and or using butt connectors. Just my opinion. The ELD is throwing a code for a reason. You have some very poor electrical connections that need to be addressed.
