Default VSS problem

i have a 90 crx with a 95 ls cluster and i used a vss from a 93 civic.

it's been working perfectly fine until i took out my transmission.

basically my speedometer just jumps up and down.

while i reverse slowly, it jumps, when i rev, it jumps but when im still it doesn't jump.

i've tested the volts and the ground and the voltage when the vss spins and it checks out good.

is it just a faulty vss?

i took it apart and cleaned it up a bit with some brake clean, put it back together but still nothing.

Check for a loose wire or corrosion on your vss plug.

No corrosion and all wires are good.

Is there a electronic VSS that would actually bolt up to a 90-93 integra transmission?
