I have a 91 integra, and I just replaced the old speeometer cable cause it was old and crappy. Anyway when I pulled the old one out it was kinda hard to get out..

The new one will go in, but when I put the clip in I can still pull the cable with the slightest pull, I did this like 10 times and it still slides out, the clip is still good too.

I checked my the vss in my gauge cluster and its hooked up good too..

So when I install the cable in the VSS is it supposed to click or just slide in then put the clip on?

 

it will go in just far enough, not neccessarily click but you'll know, then make sure the rubber boot is secure
