vibration from the engine...
Ok I was told my vibration at a stop light is abnormal. (In drive, with brake applied) It vibrates whenever I'm at the stop light and doesn't shake or anything but I can see my dashboard vibrating. Would worn out motor mount insert cause this? I was quoted $350 or so with labor & parts which is a bit ridiculous. Any ideas? I thought about just getting a Helms manual, getting the parts and just doing it myself...any ideas?
It could be a warn motor mount, but it also could be several other problems leading to a rough idle.
What rpm does your car idle at?
When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? rotor? cap? wires? how many miles do you have on the car now?
All the motor mounts are pretty easy to replace except for the rear one, which is god awful.

If your engine rpm at idle is fine, then yeah, it's most likely the motor mounts. A lot of the cost is for labor on the rear mount, as the rest are pretty easy to replace.
