Valvetrain question

Hi
If I change the strings and the retainers and keep the stock valves with ctr cams on a 00 gsr can I rev past stock redline safey or my best bet is stock redline.
(I did a search can't find anyting)

u dont really need to change the valves. as long as u upgrade the valve springs and retainers u can rev a higher than your redline. ur gonna have to raise ur rev limiter though
A search should have given you heaps of results. Anyway, you don't need to change valves or retainers but change to ITR valve springs so your valves don't float. Then you can up your revlimit

so change just the springs and I'll be fine. I was thing about getting skunk2 springs with ctr cams and call it a day and replace my bent valves. thanx for the info
