valve bent?

Default valve bent?

ok so iv got a turbo teg and i was goin pretty fast yesterday and my car ran hot for about 2 min but i mean like all of a sudden the needle shot up all the way so i pulled over and my coolant was being pissed out of the resavour so i let it cool and i refilled the resavour and i drove it about 1 mile home but there was a noticable knock or ticking sound at 3k when i pulled onto my street the tick made an awsome grinding noise as well and my car died at a couple stop lights im thinking bent valves? if so how do i replace them..oh and by the way i did seach so i dont wanna hear that

Well, if u reved too high it could have bent a valve. unlikely tho I would think unless u are going from 3rd to 4th and instead go into 2nd... but, since u were running hot, it could have bent a rod. But if the valve is bent, then there may b an article on replacing valve on team integra

how do i replace rods i looked for that to and couldnt find anything

rods are what push ur pistons up and down. i wouldn't recommend doing something like that yourself. if a rod is bent and tapping on the walls of the block that is really bad. when ppl throw rods through their engine block, it is generally because the rod has been knocking and it finally just gives out. i'm not saying that is your problem, but it sounds like a possibility. i'd wait for maybe someone else to post and give you some advice, or you could just take it to your local mechanic. if you do have rod knock, then a new engine would be the way to go. if it's just valves, then you can buy a set of valves and possibly do that yourself. but it could be something else. like i said, i would just take it to a mechanic and see what they find. or, your local dealership. they charge a lot, but at least they won't BS with you...
