Default Value of a B17

How much would this engine be worth?
Engine is a B17 w/
JDM B16 Pistons
Balanced Crank
Stock ECU
no transmission

I was thinking around 2k, but I wasn't sure.

it is worth a little more than a b18c, mainly due to its rarity. i would say 2 grand is a good price, especially considering what you have put into it.

not always true, its a rare motor but that dont make it worth more than the b18c, you can get a g2 gsr for like 2500-3000$ around here.

an engine is not a collectors item...

LOL

pretty much price it the same as the b16 somewhere between $500-$700
so 2k is to far fetched...

for 2k you get a nice gsr with low mileage..

Why do you want to sell it? Once its gone, I can almost garuntee you're not going to find anopther B17. Those are hard to find, especially in good condition.

i would say around 1k for what you have put into it, but no one will pay 2k when they can find a GSR motor w/ low mileage for a little more.

I bought one for $150, no tranny, no VTEC solenoid. The guy said "Someone stole the VTEC, so once the VTEC is gone, you can't get it back." B17 overrated POS, it's a B16 stroked to 1.7 liters.... no power difference is felt.

damn, when me and a friend were looking for one the lowest we saw was 6k in shitty condition. Most were in the 8k range for a decent good running g2 gsr.

btw i beat one in my d series hatch the other day by a car length, we both have IHE, lol

well it's not my motor. my friend might be getting a car with the B17, and he wants to go to a B18, and I might buy the B17 so I was finding a fair price.
