Default vafc users need your input

Thanks to my helpful and knowledeable friends, my vafc is up and running (took us about 3 hours stripping wires is a pita) My question is should i play around with any of the settings now or just wait until i dyno in mid march and leave everything as is? What are your settings? I only have basic boltons if that makes a difference.

leave alone for now.
If you do not have cams, VAFC is a waste of money. IMO

1fastGSR:
I disagree. I have a S-AFC installed and I gained +5 ft-lbs from 2000-5000 and 6-7K rpm and +10 between 5-6K. All of that was with intake/headers/exhaust and cracked DC-Sports 4-2-1 headers which have been fixed.

do you have a GSR, no! You have an LS! I was taking about a VAFC on a GSR, not a SAFC on a LS!

stock GSR valve springs and daily trips to redline.

I have to agree w/ 95LSS on this one, it is still useful on a GSR w/ stock cams. Remember the VAFC is not just a vtec controller.

I have talked to frustarted (SP?) GSR owner who spent $350 for a VAFC, $80 for installation and $180 for tuning was to gain 3-4 whp. Again, IMO.

my 2c so far on the vafc.....300 shipped from titan motorsports, installed it with my friends for free. Not hard at all, just takes time. Splicing the wires was the hardest part. We played around with the vtec setting and i think stock 4400 up and 4k down work the best. Default setting was 5800 which caused the car to bog like crazy from 5k to 5800. i wont touch the fuel settings until i go dyno. So now it does nothing. But let me tell you its a cool f-ing toy! I mounted it on the dash, looks bling bling. Im a happy customer thus far, will be even happier when it actually improves my car's performance
edit--those who have a tuned vafc, what fuel settings and vtec point gave the most power?

you can play with the settings a little.....maybe only go + or - 5% max.......

just adjust the high throttle settings a little and take it for a test drive.

I couldn't agree more. I feel like I wasted my #$#% money.
