Default VAFC Install

I just got my VAFC in and was wondering just how hard the install is. So far I have been able to do every mod for my car (I/H/E, sound system and all your other basic maintenance) with no problem.

Alot of people have told me that's it's not quite that hard.

Secondly, do I reset the ECU after install and then start tuning? And finally if the battery is ever disconnected do I need to redo any fuel mapping or VTEC crossover switch again?

Thanks in advance.

Install is pretty easy if you know wiring. Take your time and do it right. Then follow the manual precisely to do the initial settings. No, you do not have to reset your ECU, and your V-AFC should retain the settings even if you disconnect your battery. Best of luck.

I'll be fine with the wiring, but I know what you mean about being persice. So then you also answered another question. The manual will lead me through making the initial settings?

Yes it will, and if you have any questions during the install, shoot me an e-mail at g2guru@hotmail.com . I'll walk you through it.

Thanks again.

I finished up the install last night and have everything working perfectly (it's good to have a Helm's manual and a friend with alot of wiring knowledge).

Now it's time to find a place to mount it that won't make every other person try and break the window to steal it and then it's tuning time.

Thanks again everyone.

No...that's hard coded in your ECU.
