Hello everyone. I just bought this 99 integra ls and there is something attached above the hood release that I cant figure out what it is. ATS is written on it, and there is a section to insert a card or something. Above that there is a small silver button. Anyone know what this is? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would guess part of a security system. Ask the previous owner.

is it wireless? if not, follow the trail.

 

followed the trail and it just leads to the fuse box. and what i think is a ground wire screwed onto the car itself near the fuse box.

 

is it plugged into one of the five plug holes in a row near the center?



you could follow the wires out the back to whatever it is connected to. there are some alarms called AST out there but under a different brand name.

 

Its the red wire right above the fuse box. It leads back to the part...then there are a bunch of other wirs that just lead to a fuse, then the one screwed into the car. The remote I have for the car is the standard acura one, nothing special or aftermarket.
