um..is this normal?!
i have a 95 integra and i just changed my clutch today because the old one blew up. and well..it's 3am now and i need some help. i had the car on jackstands and i just finished putting the wheels on. then i turn one of my tires for the hell of it and the other wheel spins the opposite direction?? um is this normal or did i screw somethin up when i changed the clutch? i dunno..i got freaked out by what happened and im hella tired right now. help me out guys!

if you spin one wheel and the other side spins the opposite way, that means the car is in gear, and yes it's the differential that causes that. I'm not sure if an LSD acts the same way when in gear and wheels off the ground, but I know an open diff. does that.

With my LSD when it is in gear and I turn one wheel the other wheel turns the same direction. With an open diff it turns the opposite direction. I wish I knew the mechanics of why.

There's just plenty of resistance if you want to turn it fast, depending on what type of LSD.
With an open diff, in NEUTRAL, it might go either way. The drag of the diff gears, vs. the drag of the tranny gearsets, vs. the drag of the opposite brake... I guess usually the opposite brake has the most drag, the opposite wheel doesn't spin, and the transmission spins. With an LSD in neutral, the LSD might have enough drag to spin the opposite brake, then the opposite wheel turns the same way.

With an engine installed so the input shaft can't turn?
