hey everyone, i put in a 98 jdm type-r motor into my 98 gs integra. i used my stock engine harness and noticed the knock sensor on the type-r was a single wire plug. what i did was wire on the type-r single wire plug to the stock engine harness.. now that it is running, i am getting knock sensor code...
is there something else i need to do?
could the knock sensor just not be good?
should i not have wired it this way?

So you have connected the knock, ran a wire through the harness and down to the ECU? You are getting the code because the ECU is not seeing it.

 

no i used the wire from my stock harness...same colour wire on the type-r harness and my ls harness, the ls plug just had two wires(assuming the other was a ground) so i took the matching colour wire from both plugs and used that, shouldnt the computer be catching it still? unless the ecu pin setup is different between my ls and the type-r?

 

are all obd2 ecu pin layouts identical?
