will the type R stainless steel header fit a 97 gsr?

 

I'm not sure which header you're referring to, but any "JDM-style" (meaning JDM length with a 2.5" collector) header will require a custom cat. that is approximately 12" long in order to be installed with an otherwise stock '94-'99 GS-R exhaust system.
