Default Type R ECU?!

I'm going to be dropping in a motor i'm rebuilding and was wondering if this ECU would be good. it's a 97 Spec ITR ECU. P73-003

The block is a JDM B18C (GSR/SiR-G) NOT TYPE-R!
The head is a B16 PR3 head.

this setup will run about a 10.5 Compression ratio.

so i was wondering if the Type-R 11:1 compression ratio ECU will run this motor well?
If anything it will run it better than my USDM GSR computer.
your thoughts? thanks a lot.

USDM ITR is 10.6 or .8, and JDM ITR is 11.1. So a USDM ITR would be a closer tune to your 10.5, but with a USDM ecu you will need all the sensors. Your better off with a custom tune.
